How to immigrate to the USA legally

If you have the dream of earning in dollars, or want to move outside of Brazil, know that it is possible to use your professional experience to get a Green Card and immigrate legally to the United States.

The U.S. Government grants green cards to professionals with experience, high skills and expertise in areas of national interest.

It is necessary for the US to import professionals to maintain strategic areas of the country when the domestic supply is not sufficient, as in aviation, for example. In this sector, the rule that establishes the compulsory retirement of airline pilots at age 65 will leave half of the pilots out of the American labor market in the next 15 years.

And this makes the commercial aircraft pilot a highly valued professional by the USA, and this professional will have an easier time obtaining a Green Card through the EB-2 NIW category.

In this type of visa category, the American government drops the requirement of a previous job offer on American soil, that is, the professional can get his Green Card more easily and with less bureaucracy.

Shortage of qualified professionals in the US

It's not just aviation where there is a shortage of professionals: according to a report by the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), there will be a massive shortage of doctors by 2034, which could reach a deficit of 124,000 professionals.

And according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, there is now a shortage of at least 11,000 dentists in less populated or less health-accessible areas of the country.

Another category of professionals suffering from shortages is nursing. The US Department of Health and Human Services also estimates a shortage of more than 151,000 professionals by 2030.

The shortage of professionals especially in the health sector reflects the aging of the American population - the US Census Bureau estimates that by 2040 the population of older people in the US will be approximately 80 million people, an increase of 25 million compared to 2020.

And it's not just these professional fields that can help you immigrate to the US: engineers, programmers, executives, and sportsmen can also get a Green Card in the EB-2 category.

How to find out if I am eligible for a Green Card

To be eligible for a green card in the EB-2 category, you need to prove that you have a degree in your field, five years of experience, possess extraordinary or exceptional ability in your profession, or have experience in an area of national interest to the U.S.

One of the benefits of the EB-2 visa is that if you are approved for a green card, your spouse and children under the age of 21 will also have the same right to reside, study, and work permanently in the United States.

Value your career path

A Green Card gives you the possibility to work and study in the United States, even if you continue to live in Brazil. This enhances your resume and opens up new professional horizons.

Invest in You. Invest in a Green Card.
