How to Move to the United States

If you are worried about the economic or political scenario in Brazil and want to move to a more stable country, surely you have already thought about migrating to the United States. And many Brazilians have already made this decision: according to Itamaraty, there are almost 2 million Brazilians living in the USA, the largest Brazilian community registered abroad.

What do I need to do to move to the USA?

To legally move to the United States you need to obtain a permanent resident visa granted by the US government. And, with this, you will hold a US Permanent Resident Card, which is often referred to by the popular name of Green Card.

Choosing an Immigration Office

Although it is possible to try to get a green card on your own, an immigration office has all the know-how about the laws and regulations that apply in the United States.

The immigration office's job is to identify what type of visa is best for you and your family, and how you can gain the most legal and tax advantages in your move to the U.S., making this process as positive as possible for your entire family.

TS Immigration's mission is to be by your side in this process and to prepare the best defense of your trajectory as a professional and person for U.S. immigration, and, with the expertise of our professionals, increase the chances of approval of your Green Card.

The logic of the American government is relatively simple: The US accepts immigrants who can contribute financially, economically, academically and environmentally to the country. If you can prove to US immigration that you are a qualified professional and can contribute to the betterment of the United States with your expertise, by creating jobs and paying taxes, you will succeed in getting your green card approved.

Different ways to get a green card

Many people don't know, but investing in the United States or having a previous job offer in the country is not the only way to immigrate to the US!

If you have a degree, more than 5 years of work experience, and can prove exceptional or extraordinary skills in your field, you may be eligible for a green card in the EB-1 or EB-2 categories.

The EB-1 category includes professionals of the highest standing in their respective fields. To obtain this type of visa, it is necessary to prove an extensive resume, extraordinary skills, and national and/or international recognition in the sciences, arts, education, business, or sports.

The EB-2 category is for professionals who have a degree, at least five years of experience and exceptional skills in science, arts, education, business, or sports. This is the type of visa most qualified professionals wishing to immigrate to the United States apply for, since it includes most of the eligible professionals.

Not only does your resume increase your chances of getting a green card, but also your field of work. This is because strategic sectors, such as aviation and medicine, are of national interest to the United States.

Most importantly, approval for EB-1 and EB-2 visas is not dependent on a prior offer of employment in the US, and if you are approved, your spouse and children under 21 will also receive the right to reside permanently on US soil.

Your profession is on the rise in the USA

If you are a doctor, dentist, airplane pilot, psychologist or IT professional, your profession is booming in the USA!

The shortage of skilled labor in the United States opens doors for thousands of Brazilian professionals to live a quiet and prosperous life in America.
