Miami or Orlando: which is better?

If you're Brazilian and want to move permanently to the United States, know that you're not the only one: in 2022 more than twenty thousand Brazilians received their respective Green Cards, and Brazil was the ninth country to receive the most Green Cards.

And Florida was the fastest-growing US state in 2022, with a population increase of 1.9%, resulting in more than 22 million residents. The state of Florida historically receives many immigrants, but this was the first time since 1957 that Florida was the state with the largest population gain in the United States.

This demonstrates the strength of Florida's economy - the state has had a lower unemployment rate than the United States since 2020. And in May of this year, Florida's unemployment rate remained at 2.6% - the lowest figure among the 10 largest states in the United States.

Lower taxes

Florida, along with Texas, is one of the states that is completely exempt from State Income Tax. According to a study by the Tax Foundation, an organization dedicated to the study of American taxes, Florida is among the 7 least taxed states in the United States

Florida combines a good quality of life, a tropical climate , low unemployment rates and economic strength: the perfect state for immigrants!

Miami or Orlando?

If you're looking to move to the state of Florida, you've probably already considered these two housing options. Both cities are well-known (and touristy) places in the state, and favorite destinations for many migrants and tourists, especially from Latin American countries. Now let's get to know a little about the two cities:

Facts about Miami

Did you know that Miami is the only US city founded by a woman? Julia Tuttle was a businesswoman and landowner who made it possible to develop the city, which had previously been a huge swamp, in 1896.

More than 14 million tourists visit Miami every year, and more than 10% of its population works in the tourism sector.

The city also has the warmest average temperature in the United States during the American winter: around 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. This is why the city is nicknamed "The Sunshine City" and receives many tourists who are looking for a mild climate that is different from the harsh American winter.

Miami is also known for its Art Deco architecture, its vibrant street art and for being the wreck diving capital of the world. An unforgettable city!

And if you like basketball, you can still go to a game of the Miami Heat, the city's traditional basketball team, at the Kaseya Center arena.

Facts about Orlando

Orlando is a city known worldwide for its theme parks, and received 74 million tourists in 2022: it is the most visited city in America.

And this destination is certainly loved by Brazilians, as Brazil is the third country with the highest number of visitors to the city. The city has more than 148 parks, gardens and recreation areas, and more than 100 lakes.

Because of its natural beauty, the city has been nicknamed "The City Beautiful". And if you like sports, there are around 200 golf courses in the city - and the city is also home to the NBA team Orlando Magic.

The city also hosts many multicultural festivals throughout the year, such as Oktoberfest, the Puerto Rican parade, Scottish games and the Chinese New Year celebration. Orlando is a cosmopolitan world city.

America is the ideal destination for you and your family

It doesn't matter if you want to live in Miami, Orlando or another Florida city: Florida is a state with an excellent quality of life, and it can also be your family's destination.

Whether you want to enhance your professional career, earn your salary in dollars, move permanently from Brazil, or secure a stable and prosperous future for you and your children, America is the ideal destination for you!

Many professions are on the rise in the United States, and you can get a Green Card using your career path!

How to get a Green Card? EB-2 Visa.

If you have a bachelor's degree in Brazil, more than five years' experience and exceptional or extraordinary professional skills in your field, you may be eligible for a Green Card!

And, if you are approved for a Green Card under this visa category, your spouse and children under the age of 21 will also be granted their respective Green Cards.

All this without you needing a previous job offer in the United States.
