Living in California: best cities

Cities with a tropical climate, beaches and natural beauty: a little piece of Latin America in the United States. California is an American beach paradise and a summer refuge for Americans and immigrants from all over the world.

The most diverse state in the United States has more than 10 million residents who were born abroad, which represents 26% of its population. And California's largest population is Latinos, who make up 39% of its residents. There are many cities famous for their natural beauty and attractions in California, and one of them could be your new home in America.

Berkeley

Located on the east coast of San Francisco Bay, this city is best remembered for being home to the prestigious University of California. But there are many places to visit besides the university, such as Tilden Regional Park, which has a botanical garden and other family attractions. Also located in Berkeley are the Berkeley Art Museum, the Berkeley Marina, the Berkeley Rose Garden and the Judah L. Magnes Jewish Museum. This rich city also has several festivals throughout the year, such as the Annual Jazz Festival, the Arts Festival, the Kite Festival and the Jewish Music Festival.

Sunnyvale

Located in the northwest of Santa Clara County, Sunnyvale is one of the cities that make up the world-famous Silicon Valley. Companies like Google, Apple, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Walmart and Amazon are present in Sunnyvale and heat up the city's professional market. You can visit the green areas of Las Palmas, Serra and Baylands parks, spend the afternoon at the Sunnyvale Heritage Park museum, or stroll down the historic Murphy Avenue street while you're in town. This city is excellent for families, as it has a great job market and is often ranked among the safest cities in the United States.

Irvine

Irvine is a Californian city that was entirely planned and urbanized by a company with the same name. Located in Orange County, it was officially recognized in 1971, and originally each of its territories had a different architectural style. Built to serve the community that would form around the University of California, this city is among the ten American cities with the highest number of people with doctoral degrees in the United States. Excellent public schools are located in the city, as well as more than twenty community parks and fifty neighborhood parks, making Irvine a great place for a family. And there are plenty of entertainment options, stores, restaurants and attractions at the also planned Irvine Spectrum Center, one of the most famous shopping malls in all of California.

Torrance

The tranquil city of Torrance is bathed by the Pacific Ocean and is located in Los Angeles County. Developed at the beginning of the 20th century by real estate developer Jared Sidney Torrance, this city has several sites designed by the famous modernist architect Irving Gill, such as the Pacific Electric Railroad Bridge. Home to the Toyota, Honda and Yoshinoya companies, Torrance has the second largest Japanese population in the United States, behind Honolulu (Hawaii). On a sunny afternoon, you can stroll with your family in one of the city's thirty parks, visit the Chen Art Gallery and the Torrance Art Museum. But if you prefer to visit stores and other entertainment attractions, you can enjoy the Del Amo Fashion Center, the sixth largest mall in the United States, which has more than 200 stores and restaurants.

Living in California: the American dream

These are just a few California cities with an excellent quality of life and great infrastructure. It's no coincidence that California is nicknamed "The Golden State". Its beautiful beaches, natural beauty, Mediterranean climate and cosmopolitan cities are the destination of millions of tourists every year and thousands of American and foreign immigrants.
